Finally available for public consumption is the much anticipated Scorpion sub-gun. Imported as a pistol, it is a blowback-operated semi-auto in 9mm with a short 7¾” barrel. Equipped with our newly designed low-profile sights, its rear sight has four different aperture sizes for everything from close quarters to way out there.
The Scorpion in particular is pretty nice. It's not going to be as cheap as an AR but they are very cool guns and are relatively affordable compared to other options (think MPX, non-shitty 9 mm AR builds, or even B&T and H&K) and you get a solid package that works out of the box.
The gun is straight blowback (versus delayed blowback) and fires from a closed bolt. It is an awesome submachine gun. It is very iconic and has been seen in the news as well as numerous movies. ASG has managed to produce a faithful replica of the real CZ Scorpion Evo.
No clue if they have issues with those rounds. I am using a scorpion for a home defense gun myself, and honestly I just have it loaded with cheap Walmart 9mm hp bulk ammo. 100rds for $28.00 etc. my advice is to just try different ammo in your gun, and pick the one that shoots great and is the most economical for you.
Mags are a lot cheaper too. CZ mags are like $20 and 35 round Magpul or PSA mags are even less. Mine's stamped with a binary. It's a ton of fun, though the older models require more work to make 922r compliance to stamp. I think the gen 2 models have more US made parts. Posted: 6/8/2020 12:14:42 AM EST.
